Good Faith Estimate
-Effective January 1, 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
-Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
-If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
-Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
-For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.

If you are uncertain of the appointment type you need, please contact our office and we will be happy to assist. Please also note that since we bill by time, we will address as many concerns that you have in that allotted time. If we are unable to address all your concerns, we can extend your appointment if possible that day OR reschedule for another time.
In-person office visits are scheduled in a manner to avoid having excess people in the office, minimize wait times, and allow for thorough sanitation protocols between patient visits.
The new CDC guidelines regarding mask wearing do not apply to healthcare settings and, in an effort to keep everyone safe, including those most vulnerable in our population, we are asking that all people entering the office continue to wear a mask that completely covers their mouth and nose throughout the duration of their visit, unless specifically instructed otherwise by the physician. We thank everyone for their understanding in this matter and will reassess these protocols as needed going forward.
We will continue to make every attempt to accomplish check-in and check-out procedures with minimal contact points (such as utilizing a credit card on file for payment).
Cancellation under 24 hours will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
Late Arrival Policy
At Spectrum Dermatology, we strive to run on-time for everyone’s convenience. We ask that NEW patients arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, and ESTABLISHED patients arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will ensure adequate time to check-in and sign applicable forms. If you arrive after these times, any time required to check-in will result in a reduction in your time spent with the physician without a reduction in charges. If you arrive after more than half of your scheduled appointment time has elapsed, you have the option to be seen during the remaining time while being responsible for the full appointment time charges. Alternatively, you may also opt to reschedule for another appointment time during the same day, if available, or may reschedule for a later date. Rescheduling fees may apply.
Any no show appointment will require a 100% visit cost deposit in order to reschedule.
